Recreational/Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is based in Currie High School in Edinburgh and is one of only 4 clubs in Scotland offering the discipline of rhythmic gymnastics. The rhythmic section offers beginners classes, recreational classes and a competitive pathway for gymnasts that show potential. Many of our competitive gymnasts past and present compete at Scottish and British level and we have several gymnasts on the Scottish Squad Development pathway. Our most senior gymnast is Victoria Clow who represented Scotland in the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
Rhythmic gymnastics focuses on flexibility, agility and musicality while manipulating one of 5 apparatus - rope, ball, hoop, clubs and ribbon. Routines are performed to music and include leaps, pivots, flexibility and elemets of dance. Gymnasts perform as individuals and groups.

Recreational Artistic Gymnastics
Artistic gymnastics is based in Balerno High School and our artistic programme starts from primary 1 onwards. We offer classes for the complete beginner through to advanced levels in a fun, recreational environment. We also use the artistic programme to identify gymnasts who might be suitable for our recreational and competitive rhythmic programme and many of our girls do both disciplines.
We hold an annual club competition which allows all gymnasts to come together, have fun and show off their skills to parents and friends. You can find out more about our competitions here. We predominately teach vault and floor, however, also use trampette, low beam and teach individual and group displays to music
